Default Trunk Pop problems...

The car is a 96 Civic EX 4 door with a Viper alarm. I have had a trunk pop installed with my alarm for a few years, recently the cable that pulls the trunk latch came off. When i put it back on, it's really hard to get my trunk to latch. It will close and stay down when you let it go but it pops up if you pull on it a little, or start driving. If I take the cable off it works fine. wtf? I took it back to the shop that installed it and they said they fixed it but it still does it. Anyone else ever had this problem?

Like they said, just try adjusting the cable.
I had to fiddle with mine for ages to get it just right, but it goes fine now.

Well took the car back today. I don't think it was the cable unless closing the trunk pulls the cable tight cuz that thing was really loose when the trunk was open. Since this was my third trip back for the same problem the owner of the shop worked on my car. He added a spring that pulled on the latch from the other side, opposite side of the trunk solenoid. So now when I close the trunk the added spring pulls the latch back to close and the trunk stays closed. Thanks for the input guys, we'll see how long this lasts.
