best amp to power solo baric L5.
I'm a total noob when it come to sub and amp, but i have 2 10" Solo-Baric L5. They are the 2002 model. They are rated at 450 watts (max amp power) not sure of the RMS or the ohm rating. So what kind of amp should I use to power these sub?

The Kicker S10L5 is a 450W continuous, [900W max] sub, you should be looking for a 1x1000W RMS amp, into what ohms will depend on if you have DVC 2 or 4 ohm subs, [it is important to know the impedance of the VCs.
If you get an amp with a regulated power supply then it does not matter if they are 2 or 4 ohm VCs, an amp likr the JL Audio 1000/1 makes 1000W RMS into 1.5-4 ohms, so if you have DVC 2 ohm subs or DVC 4 ohm subs you will wire them in series/parallel, wire the VCs in series and then the subs in parallel, with DVC 2 ohms you will end up with a 2 ohm load, with DVC 4 ohms you will end up with a 4 ohm load, either way the JL amp will make 1000W RMS. 94
PS, the JL Audio 1000/1 is a very good sub amp... http://mobile.jlaudio.com/prod...d=440

Re: (accordinglyevil)
450W continuous is for one sub, with two subs that would be 900W continuous, so the need for a 1000W RMS amp, [better to be a little over-powered.
I have no idea where you are going to get a 1000W amp for $100-$200 unless it is used or some no-name POS...http://search.ebay.com/search/search...mps&category0= 94
