Pics of my blown motor
Here some pics of my blown motor. My freind blew it while he was driving it to work. I personally think he mishifted. He said he was driving normal shifting into second and the car just shutoff. By the way no retainers broke. When I took off the valve cover they were all intact with springs still in the correct spots with the rockers holding them down.
He either mishifted or the motor leaned out are my only guesses.

I broke my engine and it looked the same way. I was in 3 at 9000 rpm and misshifted to 2 instead of shifting to 4th and same out come. I feel the same pain.

Re: Pics of my blown motor (sledgehammer)
I've got an RSX head just like that. The result of a horrible misshsift. No question what happened there, valve heads don't just drop. Man that sucks

Ya. He is helping out. It was a B18C1 with ctr pistons the rest was stock.I already have another gs-r short block being put together right now.
This is what I have for it:
- 11.5:1 cp shelf pistons for b18c5 (will be 11.8:1 with gs-r head)
- eagle rods
- Clevite main bearings & king rod bearings
Also got another B18C1 head with the following:
- Ferrea dual valve springs
- crower titanium retainers
- high comp valves (bump comp by .2-.3)
My final comp should be around 12.0:1. I
I will be getting a block guard this time as well. Will also be getting some Skunk2 Stage 2 cams (need to sell one of my GS-R heads first). I will also be doing a direct port NOS a couple months down the line. Want to be able to hit elevens.

Nice new motor setup, but I would do without the heavier high comp. valves if you are going all motor

The piston disintegrated into little tiny chunks. Do u really think it's gonna stay together after it snaps the valves in half and the crank keeps on slapping the piston on them.
