Just a little advice is needed.
I have a perfectly good b18b motor seating in my garage that i was just gonna throw into my car. but looking across these forums make me really want to build a motor. now the question is would it be worth building a b18b or sure i just get an h22 and do an H2B? can i build a cheap Ls to 200whp and be a reliable daily? what do you guys think? price wise? reliability? and First time engine builder? is it really worth it?

a h22 with 200whp stock?
Do some searches for dyno sheets and setups.
H22s make around 170-180whp in stock form.
To get 200whp with a LS you'll need a VTEC head if you want it to not cost a shitload of cash.
I've done a bunch of LSvtecs in the 200+whp area. However you wanna get there, a basic setup would be 11.5:1 CR (if not a little higher) your choice of cams, bolt-ons, 2.5" exhaust and tuning.
If you wanna build a budget LSvtec use cast pistons (not forged) and stock rods with some ARP rod bolts, like b16 or ITR pistons (81mm or 81.5mm bore) from RS machines.
