Kenji's P28 Throwing CELs
I've had this mod for almost a year now w/VAFC and once in a while, my CEL turns on. The weird thing is, when I turn off the engine, the next time I fire it back up, the CEL disappers. This has happened about four times and I emailed Kenji about it but he said not to worry about it. After the first couple of times this happened, I decided to put the stock ECU back in to see if it would throw codes. I drove around with the stock ECU for a good month and a half with no CELs lighting up. Is this happenening to anybody else?

Re: Kenji's P28 Throwing CELs (Ferrell)
What code is it throwing? Does the ECU store the code after you shut the engine down?
Let me know so I can help you out.

Kenji, can you remind me about the EVAP mod?? I remember reading about it a while ago, but never saved it.

I am willing to bet it is o2. As soon as you turn it off and on again, it goes away. I used to have the same problem with a p28 skunk2.mugen problem. It would just randomly come on, I check the CEL and it's o2, restart the car and it goes away. So far, it has no afftect on performance or anything

Nope, the idling issues I had once in a while have disappeared. I think this is due to a strong correlation with the change in weather (it's getting hotter).

I'm not sure what the code is since the CEL goes away after the engine is shut off. The CEL lights up when I'm either at idle or at very low RPMs. RedR has the same issue and his friend told him that it's probably due to the ECU running really rich at low RPMs.
