ECU reset question

Default ECU reset question

Does resetting the ecu via the obdII scan tool to erase cel codes do anything differently than pulling the backup radio fuse?

can't you just unhook the battery for like a minute and reset cel codes?

My question is if using the scan tool has any sort of different effect from these other methods

the only thing is that you dont' have to reset your radio settings and clock.
