When i start up my car and rev up the motor, it sticks at around 1,500 rpm for a couple of minutes. It seems like once the motor has been running for awhile it comes down to about 800rpm and idles there. Does it need a new tps sensor?

Uhh...this is a basic thing about any car...you HAVE to warm it up...same with any car..my teg revs at 1,500 rpm for a few seconds and ONCE IT WARMS UP...(meaning when the stick crosses the "C")...then it'll rev just fine and where it supposed to be...

I figured it was just because it was warming up but it was kinda freaking me out cuz I just bought the car and it has high miles. I plan on swapping the motor anyhow. Thanks guys!
