Steering wheel jerking...cv axle???
Hey guys, new to this board and I have a problem with my car that is kicking my ***! I have a '96 Integra LS. I don't know a WHOLE lot about steering and suspension problems, so I'm just looking for opinions. For the past month or so my steering wheel jerks to the right every now and then for reasons beyond me. Sometimes it does it when I go to apply the gas...and sometimes it does it when I let off the gas. It's a violent jerking sensation to the right, almost like someone is grabbing the wheel and jerking it from me. I've also noticed if I come to a stop at a light or stop sign, and go to make a right hand turn, my steering wheel is kind of jerky as I'm going through my turn and the wheel is straightening back out going toward the left.
When I jack the car up everything is stiff. Recently replaced an inner tie-rod, and everything else seems good to go. I did notice that the inner boot on my driver's side cv axle is starting to leak...but it's not blowing all over or anything. So, my question is, has anyone heard of these symptoms that I'm having being caused by a bad cv axle?? If I can't figure it out soon, I'm just going to buy it and replace it and cross my fingers...but if that doesn't work...I'm back to square one!
Thanks for any help guys!

Re: Steering wheel jerking...cv axle??? (Pee Wee)
Hey, thanks for the reply man. At least it's good to hear someone else who had a similar problem. Anyone else hear of this or think this could be my problem?

So, it makes sense that it would be the driver's side axle if I'm having problems with the wheel jerking to the right?
