Default is my clutch slipping?

well the other day my clutch pedal had no pressure so i checked the fluid level and it was low so i put in some new fluid and bleed out all the old because the old fluid looked dirt old well after that it seems when i do redline shift into second it won't give that good jerk and squeal my tires no more it kinda feels like its taking time for it to completely catch on theres stilla jerk but its not as hard but its longer feeling. so is it time to upgrade clutch and flywheel? or is it something to do with why there was no pressure due to the fluid?

dude i drove on an OEM clutch that was down to the metal inserts by the time i pulled it out, the fingers on my pressure plate were pretty glazed and my flywheel was in desperate need of resurfacing. so i refuse to hear bitching about not getting your happy little second gear chirp... bastard im just messin... you can probably drive that clutch until your tranny falls out, then its a good excuse to get a new flywheel too, that way you dont have to justify anything to your girlfriend/wife/mom

did the same to my car.....ran the clutch down to the rivets, replace with a stocker and got my second gear chirp back plus 3rd and 4th three times...lol

unless your going to be utilizing a turbo setup or something you dont need much of an increase in torque capacity so personally i would use an organic with a mid-weight flywheel if anything. that way your clutch wont be stiffer than hefner on a viagra drip and you wont lose much driveability if at all.

I just installed an Exedy organic disk with a 1700 lb pressure plate and a Fidanza 7.5 lb flywheel. I freakin love it. There is NO drivablility issues with the light flywheel and it actually is more enjoyable. The acceleration is great and the B18A's torque is enough to compensate for the light flywheel when starting from a standstill. I see no negative effects of the lighter flywheel, only positive. And when I go to shift, the revs drop quicker so you can be in the next gear that much faster by syncronizing the shifts quicker.

Now, I could see on a B16 or something with less torque, the lighter flywheel could cause a driveability issue when you are starting from a standstill.
