map sensor testing
Having trouble diagnosing my 93 civic with a b18c swap.
When I unplug the map sensor on top of the throttle body, nothing changes. It still runs like crap. How can I test the map sensor with a multimeter?
When I got WOT it bogs down, backfires badly and almost stalls out. If I give it light throttle it will rev up but when you go WOT it bogs and almost dies until you let off the gas.
I replaced the TPS with a new sensor.
I get no change when I unplug the map sensor, I thinking I have a bad map sensor. I have a solid check engine light and can't pull codes. Solid check engine light on all 3 ECUs.

Check the code!! see what it says! then come back and report.
did you recalibrate the new TPS sensor??

Re: map sensor testing
I tried to test the old TPS sensor, got a good ground. When I tested the TPS it seemed to stay on 4.98 at the Closed and Open position, no change. Thought my TPS was bad, I bought a new one from Autozone. Still have the same result. I used a wire tracer to see if I had a break in the signal wire to the ECU but it seemed good.
I got the car going to a shop that specializes in Honda and Acuras. I'd be interesting to find out what the problem is. I've been scratching my head for months.
