Default idle is fine when cold, bad when warm

it's a 95 LS. I had a tune up couple weeks ago. New NGK Iradium plugs, new cap and rotor, new valve cover and oil pan gasket, new cam seal too. plus a valve lash adjustment. but i notice that the idle runs fine when the car is cold, stays around 1500 rpm. but when the car gets warm idle goes down to 500 rpm and flutuates a lil bit and then the car does not run as good as i expect after a tune up. what could be the cause for this problem? I did research and comes up with like bad water pump or throttle position sensor. does anyone have similar experience?? Check Engine light is not on.

IACV has been cleaned up and the FTIV is brand new from Pepboy though. this **** has been bugging me. I was hoping a tune up would help but the problem still there............

Test you TPS, IAT and ECT sensors and see if one is not reading corectly if the ECM thinks the car is still cold or is getting cold air sucked into it then it will over fuel and that can drop the idle. also does your exhaust smell like fuel

they have a factory ohm tolerance and a volt #.

so you need a voltmeter .

go to local parts store and ask to borrow one or have them test it out if you cant get ahold of one. and as long as you buy the part from them it should be free.

i had similar problem. i would try the thermostat. i changed same parts as you and noticed my t stat wasnt flowing coolant to the iac and fitv. it was stuck closed. so im changing that and bleeding the system.

check if your lower radiator hose is cold when the car is warm. if so i bet the thermostat is stuck. replace it with OEM

regardless of the cel being illuminated, check the codes. there may be one stored.

Code ECT SENSOR. And i just noticed that my car misfires at low rpm and the acceleration is pooply poor at 3rd and 4th. Would a bad ECT sensor cause those problems???

^^absolutely could. check its resistance with an ohmmeter. first cold, then hot. see if it falls within spec
