HELP!!! shifting/gear problems (different problem than other thread i think)
i had my teg for only about 3 weeks now, i also learned to drive manual in this time, the last 2 weeks i've gotten a hang of the threshold on first gear completely and drive fine, no problems, and then all of the sudden yesterday i was leaving the gas station and when i let out to threshold while giving gas it seemed like i let it out too far and the car was shaking rhythmically like it was about to stall so i let out more and gave gas, i tried again and again and it still does that, it feels as if threshold has gotten shorter and is extremely difficult to find and hold, i also tried getting around 7 rpm in second and shift into third to see if it grinds and it didnt but it went into third pretty tough. Then today i parked and when i was stopped (car running) i put it into first to see if its ok and when i did i heard a knocking sound which seemed to be coming from the transmission, i made sure that clutch was down to the floor and it was, sound went away after a little while. I also don't know if I have a racing clutch or if it's just an old clutch, it's pretty tough to get to the floor, it goes smooth, but it's hard, but my friend said it could be a racing clutch, that pops up fast, so I don't know what it could be, help me out (this happened out of nowhere by the way, not progressive or anything), help me out please
cliffs: threshold seems to be extremely small in first gear. Shifting to 3rd seems a bit tough in high rpms. Put it into first gear while stopped and transmission started knocking. I have a tough clutch, don't know if it's a racing clutch or if it's worn out.

I believe u have a racing clutch...
For the knocking, try to check to see if u have still have transmission oil left...
Dont think anything is wrong with your car.. try that, and see if its better...

posting for 1Cloudwalker1 because of his trial restriction "holy ****, I pulled up to a stop sign and i was about to go, i put it into first, made sure clutch was to the floor, i didn't even let out the clutch or give it gas at all and as soon as i put it into first it shook and knocked hard like it stalled completely but the car never went off, WTF!!!"

ya went to the dealership, the clutch is fucked, so i found some shops that will do the installation for about 350 labor, I don't know what kind of clutch I should get, I can get a honda clutch from the dealership or I can get an aftermarket clutch but I heard that it's not good to put a performance clutch on a stock car, so I'm confused

Re: HELP!!! shifting/gear problems (1Cloudwalker1)
why isnt good to get a aftermarket clutch for a stock car?
if your planning to fix up your car in the feature, i suggest get a racing clutch, act brand is the best out there for integra...
If your gonna get a stock clutch its a waste of money, one it doesnt' grab as good, two it cost as much as a aftermarket, so why not get a racing clutch instead???
don't know whos telling u not to get a aftermarket clutch... and why would it harm your stock engine??? it just a aftermarket clutch that grab more and a little more aggressive than your stock one..
Dont get confuse, research....
350 is a lot to replace a clutch, normally its only 200 or 250.. its not that hard to put in a new clutch..
