HELP: Code11, Engine overheat, but temperature looks ok?
I finally got around and installed 550cc injectors, half size 3 rows radiator, new coolant hose, radiator cap (1.3bar) with a complete coolant flush... I started the car up, let it idle 15 minute, everything seems fine, the fan kicks in twice, and the temperature rose to about 40% at the gauge.
My s300 shows ECT = 205F... but i don't have any error code or CEL yet. So i took my car out for a drive, trying to tune it with S300, drove around for 20 minutes, did a couple of pulls, and then CEL came up. Look at the CEL in S300, it says Engine Overheat, but the temperature gauge is still at ~45% mark, ECT shows 216F. So i drove her home and shut it off... it was 206F when i shut it off.
I must say though, the engine bay feels extremely hotter than before (then again, could be just my butt dyno), does anyone know what might be the problem...? Both of my upper and lower hoses were burning hot. Could it be that my water pump failed..? But i just replaced it ~5 years ago and i only summer driven my car. What is the symptoms of a failing water pump?
Thermostat is brand new, and i am pretty sure (90% sure) that i install it properly, i took a picture before taking the old one out. Water temperature sensor should be ok, as my s300 was able to read it... one thing i notice however, is there were excessive noise coming from the right side of the engine... could the water pump failed already less than 20k...?

Isnt stock temp 180 or something like that... Try burping the system.. leave the rad cap off and let it run for 3 fan cycles or more and top off as needed... dont worry about water running over the top...
Your butt dyno tells you that your engine bay is hotter?
