Default ECU limp mode (no CELs)

My car won't rev past 3500 rpms, seems the ECU went into limp mode. My car is not throwing any codes and I am completely lost. Anyone got any suggestions where to look?

I have a 94 RS with an LS/VTEC (95 gsr head). Car runs smoothly, just won't rev above 3500. I've reset the ECU a few times and still the same problem.

I've triple checked, and everything seems wired correctly (IAB, EVAP, VTEC sol & pressure switch).

my injectors are new Precision 440cc. I don't know what else it could be other than possibly a bad ECU, but it worked fine in my friends previous car.

Did your friends car have 440cc injectors?

no, he had a skunk2 chip in it...when I bought it from him, I replaced it with my chip that I bought from phearable.

I checked phearable's chipping diagrams and his ECU was chipped the same. His ECU does have something different than others, it has a daughterboard attached to it (like the S300's have). I'll take a pic when I get a chance.
