I searched already but the threads i read didn't quiten answer my question yet. I have a 1994 GSR running on a LS tranny. Everything else is stock except for an AEM intake and Greddy Exhaust running the stock p72 ecu.

Here is my probelm. When my RPM hits 5500 rpm, it throws a cel. The code is 23: knock sensor. If I turn the car off and on again, the cel is gone.I could drive for as long as I want with no cel as long as I don't hit 5500 rpm. I'm not too sure if VTEC is engaging or not. At the moment, it doesn't seem like it is though.

I've change the spark plugs. NGK V-Power gap at .50
I pump 91 octane Chevron, Shell, or 76 only. Mostly Chevron.
I have checked the oil: good.
I have reset the ecu: still comes on at 5500 rpm.
Next thing on my to do list would be to change the knock sensor.

It will do this in any gear (1st through 5th). I am 100% certain it is 23, not code 21 or 22 (2 long blink + 3 short blink). Is this just the knock sensor or could it be something else? anyone else expierience something like this?
