Default b16a ECU in a b18c

i have a b16a ECU in my b18c will this effect my engine performance wise?

yes...in a negative way...VTEC engagement is higher and the secondaries wont be functional...Not to mention it has fuel tables and ignition for a smaller engine with different cams..

I would have to get a adatper and a b18c ecu what if i got the b16a chiped?

an adapter for what?? What are you talking about..You can get the b16 ecu chipped (given that it's obd1 and not obd2) but you still need to have it tuned to the car in order for it to be of any benefit..Throwing random chip in wont help you

the b18c ecu wont fit so i need to get one of them adapters to change it to obd2?

what obd is your car??? what obd is the ecu youre trying to install?? If your car is obd2 then yea youre going to need that adapter..If your car is obd1 and the ecu youre trying to fit up is obd2...Sell the obd2 ecu and with the money find an obd1 ecu or have the b16a ecu chipped, socketed and tuned for your car
