Antenna Problem
My Antenna doesnt go up or down it just, stays up but when i turn on my car it makes the noise or like if im turning on the radio. does anyone know what the problem could be? i have a sony xplod deck.

looked into this once cuz the previous owner of my car broke off the antenna after it stopped working...i think they're pretty cheap at salvage yards

Could be a number of problems.... Antenna bent and won't go up or down, seems like the motor is working.... why don't you either get a new antenna from junk yard, or go for a s2k antenna conversion.

My antenna would do the same, it's pretty common. I hate the radio any way so I diconeced the wiring to power it up and down. And WALLA no mor plm

If you're experiencing a noise that sounds similar to when the antenna used to go up and down, thats probably your antenna motor working to get the antenna up and down. If it doesnt go down, then your antenna masthead is probably broken and you need a new one. I recently priced them at an Acura dealership for $60 plus the labor for installation was going to be $82. Not really worth it for an antenna if you ask me. I picked up an S2K shark attack antenna for $30 bucks off ebay and plan on installing that.

Sounds like your mast cable may be broken. You can get a replacement mast off Ebay for about $25 and change it yourself. It's not that hard.
