Default What do you guys think?

Im a big member of turbod16.com. i figured id throw my set-up out here on H-T for some fun. let me know what you guys think.

Engine:
D16z6

Turbo set-up:
GT3076R w/ TO4S compressor housing and .82 a/r turbine housing
ATP oil inlet restrictor (.035") w/ 4 -an feed
ATP oil return flange and and 5 deg tilt return flange for the pan
Peakboost manifold (first made for a d-series :D )
Peakboost 3" DP (open) and WG dump
Tial 38mm WG
HKS BOV
JRC 8" FMIC
2" charge piping all the way around

Engine:
Stock head
Zex 59100 cam
Skunk 2 IM
B18 TB
Stock bottom end
Mr. Gasket crankcase evacuation system
Unorthodox ultra-r pulley
ARP head studs
Felpro HG
Ishihara-Johnson teflon crank scraper (first teflon CS made for a d16 :D )

Fuel management/Spark:
Hondata S300
RC 750cc's
PLX devices M500 wideband o2
Walbro 255 fuel pump
MSD 6a box
MSD plug wires
MSD blaster 2 coil
H22/H23 distributor cap
7-series NGK's
R1 grounding kit

Tranny:
Stock everything
CM stage 3 clutch
autozone axles

my goals are 250whp on a stock bottom end at 10psi. a long term goal is 300whp @ 10psi, with a fully built head and a piston/rod combo, but thats long term. until then a built bottom end and some high boost should be fun.

i did have a smaller turbo for 2 and half years, cant stand it. im a big turbo guy. also im a total bitch for efficiency on these little single slammers. i research my turbo choice for well over year, hell thats how long it took to save for it

just curious, I am more of a response guy (I thought I wouldn't care until I actually got my car boosted). I like not having to change gears to get it to pick up, which doesn't happen often with my T3T4 bushing type. Looks like its going to be a killer set-up, I have that same kit on my LS (and manifold design) 242 @ 9.5 psi very fun

yeah its been running since march. i hit full boost (7-10psi depending on what im running) at 5000rpm. right now since the bottom end is stock im not taking past the stock redline (my s300 i have set at 7411, with the CEL shift light at 7100). in the future my plans are to try to pull torque up through 8000-8500, thats what im building for now.

that turbine is pretty large for your power goals, but if you are hitting full boost by 5k then that aint bad. I'd really look into ditching that cam and getting the 59300. Its much more agressive and should help you carry the torque curve a little further.

thank you. the 59300 will be in the next week or two . as an overall ultimate power goal 400+whp would be nice, that influenced my decsion in my turbo choice. but no doubt the bigger the better, within reason of course.

to be honest, i have done over threee years on learning and research to get to higher level. 350-400 on 15 to 20psi is a hell of a goal for a d16, but ill tell you this its alot more than just a turbo to get you to those goals. you must design the entire system to compliment itself. everything must work together in order for you to met your goals. its a long story, but do your research, take your time and learn as much as you can on each part. knowledge is power

Props to you bro, damn eric you're set-up has come a long way since the last time i saw you, I need to start coming out again since it seems like there are some reputable single cams in town now. Im waiting to try to get my car tuned on the dyno, seems like me and you have the same power goals in mind, too bad your turbo is twice as big as mine. haha hit me up sometime bro, we need to kick it.
