2) Nope. The methanol/water solution will absorb additional water over time since methanol is hygroscopic, so it will make your AFR less rich or more lean as it absorbs water and thus injects less methanol per volume, but that won't significantly diminish the anti-knock qualities of it, since the water is best for that anyway.
3) Very safe. I've run my 70% methanol mixtures all summer under the hood, no problems. After the impromptu flammability tests I did in the driveway though, I can tell you that I'd feel safer with 50/50 mix in there. . .

Exactly. The stuff is extremely flammable, you won't see the flames when it's burning, and it is poisonous. On the other hand, it's VERY nice for your engine! LoL...

Re: Water/meth injection... what's your kit?
FWIW, I'm obviously a big proponent of the water/methanol injection, and I'm not sold on the idea of it being as effective as an intercooler. To be fair though, I haven't tested it that way, and they say the W/I injection gains effectiveness with additional temp in the compressed air it's being injected into. I guess I shouldn't be so quick to judge...
Back in the day when people were injecting pre-carb, I think the W/I had a better chance to get well atomized and well distributed when it went through the venturis. Injecting it into the airstream that is heading for an intake manifold designed for dry flow just seems a little less than confidence inspiring.

Anybody know where to pick up another nozzle for a coolingmist kit aside from through coolingmist themselves, or another option? $35 seems like a lot...

Re: Water/meth injection... what's your kit?
Im looking for a meth kit, going for 400whp at around 22psi. There are so many options on both Devils own and Coolingmist website, i want a trunkmount setup that can do 400whp and has fail safes, im also running S300 if that makes any difference. Thanks for any help!

Don't see too many Aquamist users.... plenty of failsafes with their products too.

E85 or pump gas+meth/water is definitely a good solution. Not only will the car make more power but the boost in octane will make it safer based on the compression and fuel octane.

Re: Water/meth injection... what's your kit?
as anyone here used water/meth injection while running E85? I tried it this weekend but couldn't tell if it affect anything negatively, but since I am basically mixing 2 different alcohols. but I noticed a temp a drop of 35 degree F. it was a hot weekend, ECT temp was running high, oil temp was rising but not too bad. right now I'm looking into ducting options.

had a coolingmist kit on my K20Z4 to help getting me some more power on my intercooled TTS Performance Rotrex C30-94 kit with no luck!
Now i got an AIS kit with my C38-81 but still nothing...water meth thing isn't for me and can't tell why!!

with coolingmist on my C30-94 setup had a no 7 nozzle pre TB and after fine tuning got this
thin line is without w/m
exactly the same on my new c38-81 with AIS kit,had 1 nozzle pre s/c and another pre TB.
i'm in contact with Rodney trying to figure it out why this is happening,i'll make some tests on September with different nozzles.

Re: Water/meth injection... what's your kit?
yes i know this is an old thread. Some good info in here, thought i would keep it going as this is relavent.
I am in the process of building a custom 2 stage kit, with fail safes(low pressure).
Those who have a pressure switch set up as a failsafe, how did you wire it into your Hondata s300? I am planning on 2 nozzles, one post IC(comes on early), and one pre turbo(comes on later). With 2 pressure switches, how would i go about wiring them both so they work independently?
One area i lack a lot of knowledge on is electrical :-/ but really want to build this myself.
