.002-.004 intake .004-.006. exhaust I tend to like them towards the tighter end. I have noticed most stocks engines are very loose.

Valve to guide clearance. one of the things often overlooked when building a head and the one thing the pros never divulge lol.
I too am wondering what it needs to be but when endyn ports my head and installs bronze guides and beryllium seats I bet if I ask nicely they'll clearance them for me.

I've seen some of the more hardcore people with super expensive heads weld material to the head and deck it back to spec...
but that's time consuming, expensive, and can easily go wrong. of course you have to weigh that against finding another clean head and having it ported, etc.

yes no oil getting by now, I was before. It was loose enough before that I was getting oil going by past the seal and detonating.

Re: valve guide clearance for turbo build
with new stock valves and stock valve guides the clearence is ok for up to 600hp
if you want to rebuild an old engine for a lot of power you sould buy the valve guides that they are suggested by the valve manufacturer (ie supertech)
