PCV Catch Can - Do I have to take off the black box?
I want to use a catch can setup on my project, which is a CRX w/ b18c. I will have loads of trouble accessing the black box, so I was wondering if i could just remove the PCV valve and not the black box itself and just route to the catch can from where the valve used to sit.
Is this bad?
why is it that so many people seem to want to take off the breather box?
thanks

Look up a thread by the username of : dasher. All the catch can information you will need is covered in his thread.

hi, thanks for the response,
I was trying to understand why dasher specifically says to take off the black box instead of just taking off the pcv valve or hollowing it out.

you get more area for the crankcase pressure to evacuate from the system, by taking the black box off and putting the barbed fittings in, and plugging the black box hole.
