He might have taken the internal wastegate out and had it modified to accept a external wastegate

So you guys think an 18gkit on an lsvtec (p72 head and cams w/ skunk2 mani) can make 300whp on pump gas stock internals???? anyone ever here of that happening first hand?

i made 326 with a 18g on a gsr with custom 3" down pipe and exhuast, 750 rc injectors, 255 hp fuel pump, and ctr cams on 18 psi using pump gas, ran a 11.6 @ 122 on bfg g-force

If I can recall....he did a 3 in downpipe back running 780cc injectors..with 15-18psi....not sure exactly...and using a drag manifold.

Went externally gated and runnin 23psi with a 3"dp v-band & exhaust. When I had the Greddy cast elbow and a 2 1/2" dp and was internally gated I was still pushing 280whp @ 18psi. This LS motor I have is a freak motor! Going on 3 years boosted and still runnin strong. This same LS motor in my car is the same longblock that was in my car when Mase came to Philly and first tuned it 3years ago, where it made 185whp 175tq @ 7psi. Then Jeff evans tuned it and made 255whp & 249tq @ 1bar and thats with a HKS hyper 2 1/4" exhaust.

And Mr cinq I am not using a drag manifold . If I recall we ghetto plasma cutted the manifold and welded a 38mm wastegate flange to it thanks to the creations of Philly dyno works and the tuning of the masked man . I would post pics but it's raining out and I don't feel like taking the picture

I don't see why not. **** it's just a LS motor, if she blows let her blow it's not like a gsr or b16 where you'll have to shell out a couple grand.

Dave know's how long I had my teg and I let him beat on it like he stole it. I honestly went back on the dyno to max the 18g out or my LS motor but i guest the 18g was maxed out first. I bet if we fooled around with the cam gears, get som cams, and a IM, it'll probaly be at 350. but thats pushin it.

I'm done with my car as is and if anyone want's to buy it make a reasonable offer. Time to boost the G35 for spring of 2007.

18g , external wasteagte,b16 stock sleeves ,crowerrods and je pistons,15 psi spring 321 whp, 22 psi 356 whp. torque was 221 and 256. I now put in my race car. 114 mph@12.9sec. 1/4 mile. Selling the set up. just put on a t3 t67 to make some real power. took it off my other car and put a 60-1 turbo.
18g was the best street turbo light to light

That looks a mustang dyno sheet. would explain why the numbers are approx 45 hp lower.

edit: that was with stock exhaust too!

b16 stock everything with 10psi with rc 440's and blown rings.

replaced the pistons
Cp 9.1
2.5inch test pipe
2.5inch exhaust
stock greddy elbow & downpipe
18psi creep to 14.5psi

Now that was not enough power so i replaced the turbo/mani downpipe I do miss the street turbo sometimes.

I need help. My son is going to Turbo his 95 Ls and had the engine rebuild to
accomodate a turbo. Can you guys let me know of anyone who might be selling
a Greddy kit and if not can you tell us what set-up to buy, where and what it might
cost. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

did it peak and hold at 18 psi or did it drop off at top end. I'm going to be running a Greddy Profec B and just curious if it will do the same.

It held fine after some time setting up the avc-r's duty cycle and gear dependent boost controll.
