Honda Prelude H22 Engine Management Question
Does anyone else have idle issues at a cold start with AEM?
I have been thinking about selling or trading my AEM EMS for Hondata S300, what do you guys think? Help me out with comparisions or which way to go. I guess I just don't like the cold starts and idle on AEM.

Looks like your vtec engagement is set too high. You have a dip in power right where it should be. It could be set back a few hundred rpms.
If you post your setup, that might help us find somemore power in your engine

it's a garrett t67/or to4r. the compression is 8.5.1 and it's 89.5mm. It has 1000cc injectors w/ a 255 walboro pump. The head has ferrea springs, valves, and retainers. It has been ported and polished. I hope that I wired VTEC correctly. My car was originally non vtec. I ran the wires from the solenoid to the wiring harness to the spots that are suppose to be vtec control according to books.

Looks like it's kicking in at 5200 or 5500rpms to me.

Great power and H22 torque. Do the usual non Vtec pull and early Vtec engagement pull to see where power lines cross. Use that point for setting engagement.

I'm trying to get 600whp. The fuel pump wasn't pumping enough gas at the top end, so I don't know how much an upgraded fuel pump would help. What fuel pump do you guys recommend?

Congrats Charles. I am glad that turbo is working out for you. Get at me when you need that fuel pump and lines sir
Yes AEM cold starts are bad unless someone spends a good amount of time with it as far as I know. Some know how to set it right off the bat

I would do an Aeromotive Eliminator or A1000 pump and the fuel line kit. We spoke about it the other day, lemme know. I will gather up pricing sir
