Leaking oil with no broken gaskets
So I am leaking oil out of somewhere on my drivers side. everywhere from the alternator, to the oil pan and right up to the back right part of my head is covered in oil. it doesnt leak when idle and say I take an hour long drive i will lose a half a quart. I have not taken my oil pan gasket or valve cover gasket off yet but they are brand new. It has to only leak when under load. any ideas?
My tuner and I and another buddy think that it has something to do with my valve cover not being able to breath and spitting out oil with some stock mini catch can(cant remember what its called)

Re: Leaking oil with no broken gaskets
Sounds like your PCV valve is clogged, and your black box is too (if you have one). Since the head naturally fills with oil, any pressure in the crankcase/head will try to escape through a gasket. The VC gasket is the weakest & thinnest, and when air escapes, so does any oil around it. It's unlikely that the HG is the issue if it didn't do it before, but flipping a HG will get you a lot of oil draining outside of your engine.
I'd really recommend a compression test to check your motor. Even with those items clogged, that top VC breather should be able to handle the normal blowby. Sounds like you have a bad ring or two.

Re: Leaking oil with no broken gaskets
found out what it was. I am not a hundred percent sure what a pcv valve is. But according to what i found out is I am not running on and the breather or little black box for it was filling up with oil under load and shooting it out around there, everywhere. blocked that bish off and now the problem is solved and no more slipping alternator belts that shoot off. Thanks for the help.
I also need to make a catch can and what not. but no more oil leaks and my alternator belts should stay on(been shooting them off left and right, pretty sure the oil made them slip)

Re: Leaking oil with no broken gaskets
The PCV stands for possitive crankcase ventilation [valve]. It will allow oily/"exhausty" crankcase air to be pulled into the manifold, although they are designed to seal with boost. You were basicly boosting your crankcase, and shooting an oily load out of your motor.
As long as your valve cover vent isn't hooked up to your manifold or charge pipes, it will be enough for now. However, you'll want to get a catch can on it soon.
