ITR cams over GSR?
Is there a huge benefit to running ITR cams over GSR cams with an S372R on a sleeved B18?
My thought process was that the higher lift and duration of the ITR cams might help bring the turbo in slightly sooner and produce slightly higher peak power? Has anyone swapped these out back to back? what were the benefits? area under the curver significantly changed?
Am i wrong in that assumption? i am very close to getting the car tuned so was seeking advice as to if i should swap them out if the benefits are large....
Any advice welcome!

Re: ITR cams over GSR?
I'm doing my build with ITR cams simply based on the fact that I can not see one post where people didn't gain an advantage switching to them from the GSR's... I do not think you can go wrong. PS your name owns all.

I did that comparison about 3 years ago. Good for a Solid 40whp give or take at the same boost level.
I will be testing some new cams here shortly that i expect to be much cooler than the ITR's, as far as i know nobody else has them yet

Re: ITR cams over GSR?
poor dead hourse, GSR cams have made over 800whp but people have also made 800whp with 3" turbo back exhaust... It will work, but it's not as efficient and you will make more power with the ITR cams just like an 800whp car stepping up to 4" exhaust will make more power. ITR cams will make more power on nearly any setup opposed to GSR, maybe GSR will shine more on a small garret/log mani type kit with a small turbo, but that's about it imo.

ITR/CTR cams are the best OEM cam and are great for pretty much any setup. If you can get some then do they are worth the coin. But as said GSR cams have proven also to make power past 700hp no problem.

Re: ITR cams over GSR?
Just curious?
84mm built block
stock port (B16) head
up rated valve train (stock size)
Precision S372R
Will the GSR cams support a good enough power band for the S372 based on turbo's peak torque, not sure how far people rev out the GSR cam and still make power?
Seen many cars drop out of the power band between shifts due to small cam and big turbo?
