the mufflers are magnaflow... one is a 4" body the other is a 6" body, both 14" long... the catch can just got a modification... i cut it open and added a baffle on the inside to help with the oil separation... i abandoned the evac valve for now and just have a hose hanging down to the ground... no smell in the car...

Does anyone know gear ratios of rear diff from CRV II (02-06) and CR-V III (06-10) the same or not?

I mean i want to use diff from 3rd gen CRV with 2-nd gen CRV gerbox.
will it cause any RATIO troubles?
are they equal from gasoline and diesel?
any experience, any data? please help!!

I've gotta say. Your creativity and ingenuity is refreshing.. You always see these people talking about doing something but you rarely see them do it, much less with this degree of attention to detail and function/form.

I love your idea with the air locking differential and the thermostat. Do you happen to have any pictures of the thermostat mounted? I having it mounted to the coolant output from the head will lead to much better coolant temperature control.

well i FINALLY got my gears back from liberty... i am very pleased with the workmanship and quality, but it took almost a month longer than promised to get it back... anyways, i am finishing up my '72 beetle project this week and i hope to be at the track next weekend... here are a few pics of the finished product...

On another note, the transmission is working good, its taking some time to get use to, but I am very optimist that this is the fix for my problems... hopefully ill get to the track Friday night...

so i went to the track and was pleased with the results, sorta, lol... i went a 7.6x in the 1/8 mile and 11.8x in the 1/4 mile new pb for both times... this was literally pulling into the track, checking the oil and making a pass... i short shifted 2nd a little and didnt make full boost... and then i broke a cv axle on the 2nd pass, on street tires... i was a little proud of that i guess... i am very optimistic and the transmission shifted so good i wasnt even sure i was in gear... my mph was down in the 1/4 from running in 2wd so i KNOW there is more in it, keep in mind this car weighs 2800lbs running toyo proxes tires and ive put almost 100 miles a day on it since last friday... a little more tweaking and i think i can get some 7.50's and 11.20's out of it...

119 in the 1/4 and 95 in the 1/8...and where did you hear my car, i wasnt aware of any videos...

I don't think he was being literal. Are you breaking front or rear axles? I assume front? I am having a hard time grasping why you can't build full boost unless you rack out the engine? There is either a major exhaust restriction (unlikely) or a pretty big turbo.

i get what he was saying now, lol... i broke a front axle... just not building full boost because i have my boost controller set from the last time i was at the track... i only made one clean run, broke on the 2nd, and my damn datalog was full, so i didnt have any feedback other than max pressure on the tunerview... my 60ft was down from last time at the track, only 1.8 whereas i was running 1.7s with 2nd giving me trouble and shifting before the 60ft mark...

i do alot of testing in the 1/8... if the car is making a good pass, i am shifting into 4th in the 1/8, the way i see it im just mashing the gas and holding on through the 1/4, lol...

new pb, 7.65 in the 1/8... down side is another broke shaft on street tires... its happening going to 2nd... i guess this bitch is hooking, i need a toyo sponsorship, lol... im looking into some DSS 2.9s or 3.9s, there is a big jump in the price, but i dont think i want to cut that corner... anyone have recommendations on a HT vendor for axles???

Axles and more power!!!!!! Car is local to me and I got to say that I believe this is prob the fastest "true" street tire I have ever seen. Keep up the good work jimmy, it's almost right where u want it
