Well my gauges came in. I decided to get some custom ones made to match the car with some Honda Racing logos I made the colors about the same and they glow blue at night.

Yeah they're pretty sweet. Same style/type I used in my Cobra. Notice the LED and button on each gauge. They have memory recall for say highest boost you ran or hottest the engine has gotten and you can program in trigger points too. Like say you set temp at 210F the LED will come on at 210 to catch your attention that the motor is getting hot.
The wideband one is also pretty sweet. It has an extra wire that goes to the ECC for throttle position (TPS in the ford world) and it detects WOT and you can set a lean point so if the motor goes lean under WOT once again bright LED to catch your attention.

It's speedhut.com. Check out their website they have a flash plugin that lets you change up all the options, font, colors, pics etc. and you can get a preview of it before making a purchase. Neat stuff.
Here's the gauges I had made up for the Cobra. Different colors and all but gives you an idea.

Parts slowly rolling in. Here's the downpipe. May need some cutting and welding to make fit but it's a starting point.

Re: 98 Civic coupe turbo build thread
LOL no v8s in there. Just a busy guy working on to many projects. I have a new salt water aquarium I'm setting up in the living room too. A handful of a project and a lot of fun too. Also got a WOT shift box for the Cobra and tinkering with that.
As for the Honda. I got an S300 with boost option and boost solenoid finally out of the market. Took a little hunting to find one for a reasonable price. That should be hear later this week or early next week.
I also got a 3" cat back ordered. Still need to order a really quiet muffler, for stealth & daily driving, and some cut outs to put right after the down pipe. Oh yeah should probably get a high flow cat too.
It's getting pretty close to where I can start slapping parts on.

New exhaust came in. It's a 3" mandrel bend setup. Pretty nice although the massive space ship tipped muffler has to go lol. I'm going to be using electric cut outs so I'm going with a quiet dyno max muffler instead for the daily driving part.
Still need to add a cat too so it's legal on the road.
Provisions for O2 sensor and wideband.
I just had to do a comparison between stock tip and jet engine tip
Had a little free time to work on the Honda yesterday so I figured I'd get the new fuel pump in so that's out of the way and ready to roll.
Back seat out and there's access.
Stock pump setup
Walbro 255 LPH on the left and stock pump on the right. Not sure how much that stock pump flows?
New pump installed
The pump install was quick and painless. I wish all cars had such an easy pump replacement setup.

Hey Guys,
Got a few updates. Lets see, gauges installed. Only boost/vacuum is all the way hooked up and working. Temp is on hold till the weekend when I can get a bung welded into the upper radiator hose connection at the cylinder head end. Wideband is ordered but not arrived yet.
Mailed my Hondata S300 to phearable.net to get the boost option installed, also ordered the solenoid, 4 bar map sensor, odb2a to odb1 harness and a few other odds and ends.

Will do. They look really bad *** at night. The numbers light up blue, more like a blue glow all over. Hopefully I can capture it on camera. I got a mini 1k pot from radio shack that I tucked under the dash to tweak brightness.

Re: 98 Civic coupe turbo build thread
Couple updates:
My new temp gauge didn't have anywhere to put the sending unit. Unlike big V8s that seem to have plugs on the block you can remove to access the coolant passages and put your sensor in I found none on the Honda motor. In the cylinder head would have been ideal but I couldn't find any good spots their either. Next I got confused by the location of the thermostat. It's on the back of the motor by the lower radiator hose. This made me start thinking they have a reverse coolant flow that goes in the lower radiator hose, up the radiator and to the head. Did a little searching around and was told no that's not the case. So how does the thermostat ever get hot and open? apparently there's a little closed loop of coolant back there that heats it up and opens it. Interesting. I did some tests with the motor running and an IR temp gun. I also pulled the upper radiator hose and tried to see which way coolant flowed but it made more mess than anything.
I also found a coolant hose that runs to the throttle body for something. Emissions?
So I settled on putting the temp sending unit on the upper radiator hose right at the cylinder head on that fitting that attaches to the head. This called for some aluminum welding but it turned out pretty good I think.
A few shots of what I did
Here it is back on the motor
Everything put back. Almost looks stock
And look I have temperature finally. Yah!
Still waiting on the wideband to arrive before hooking up the last gauge.
OK you guys may remember this picture from when I was test fitting the turbo. You can't tell in this pic but that bleed nipple is actually pressing into the turbo quite hard and has to go. I was told the Honda Prelude slave has the nipple pointing upwards and to use that one.
Well here they are side by side. The Prelude one is on top and the Civic on the bottom. The Prelude nipple actually sticks straight out the side and not on top but I think it'll still give me the clearance I need.
The slave was not a direct fit though. The bolt holes are spaced differently and I had to slot one of them to make it fit. FYI for anyone else who does this.
And here it is installed
That will hopefully give me the clearance I need by the turbo.
