Ordered a set of these Stage 8 Locking Fasteners for the Turbo - Manifold / I have heard nothing but good things about these. In the past I have had issues with manifold bolts backing out.

I'm interested in seeing how the setup does for you. It's a nice thread that helps aid with my 97 spec itr swapped civic coupe. I have similar setup but I have yet to decide on a turbo that I feel would suit my needs as of now.

looking great! also I work at a honda dealership

Nice parts, and sounds like it's going to be a nice build.

Are you going to change then angle on that down pipe coming off the 5-bolt flange?

You may want to consider running a turbo blanket (along with all the wrap) to help with heat radiating off the turbine housing towards the condenser.

I've been happy with the Stage8 hardware after changing over. I'm using it on the manifold/turbine housing and turbine housing/downpipe - I experienced both sets of hardware backing off before I switched to Stage8.

Thank's man. Yes the angle will be changed i was just using that for reference.
I do have a T3 Blanket on order as well.. Im either going to wrap the lines in DEI sleeve OR Use the Reflective Stick - On tape.
as far as the Stage8 Im pretty confident they will work great. I believe I ordered Part # 3952 For the Turbo to Manifold
What Part # did you use for the Downpipe?

I used 5932 for turbo to manifold and 8900B for down-pipe to turbo. For the bolts that come in the 8900B kit, I did have to get a machinist buddy to put the bolts on a lathe and shorten them for me. The nice thing about that kit is you get 12 bolts, though. You may be able to call Stage8 and see if they have the same 8mm bolts but in a shorter length.

ive been using a REV9 since the start of 2019 and I’ve been very impressed with the results so far. People can rag on me all they want as I blow they’re doors off

Cool! I have someone who could shorten them - I’m still up in the air / I may just do the 5 bolt with the V band welded on.. I’ll see which way my Fab guy wants to go. Thanks for the info!

Got the Tapped oil pan installed tonight.. Over the past year I have used a few of these new Fel Pro “Perma Dry” gaskets on friends cars and had nothing but success.. I’m obviously a OEM guy working at the dealership but these things are great and seal up perfect

Double check that the 5-bolt to v-band will clear the AC compressor. I've heard they don't.

Good call DaX - I will check that... I was actually wondering about that myself due to it being very tight

extremely good turbo for what they cost, after comparing power and torque curves from other turbo b series setups, I just can’t justify spending another 1500-2200 for little to no gain. The times and speeds in my signature below was using a REV9 t3 66/62

lol. It’s killing me not being able to race. Kentucky governor is being extremely strict and rumors are that we may not see the racetrack open this year.

PA Gov. was trying the same thing... Things are starting to open back up now so I think tracks will soon follow in the next month here... IMO most governor's are over-stepping boundaries

What size SPAL Fan do you guys prefer? Im using the OEM Integra Full-Rad - Im thinking I can use a 12"
My thoughts are using a SPAL Puller Fan & A 2nd SPAL Fan on the front of the condenser ( VERY TIGHT FIT ) Will have to be a smaller size fan for sure.

Any thoughts?

That could work on the OEM radiator, since it is thin enough. SPAL is the only way to go..

I have used SPAL in the past with success. I never owned a Turbo Honda with A/C...quite frankly I was always against it as I always had a daily driver that has ice cold A/C -
this car will not be a daily driver either but I really didnt want to tear that stuff out of this one... im keeping fingers crossed I dont regret it I usually hear horror stories of people who have kept AC and it never seemed to work correctly.

Thanks Shodan - always appreciate your input.

I’m using the 10 inch spal on mine and it keeps mine perfect temp (no AC or power steering) but DAX is running AC and power steering and he had to step up to the 12 inch spal and as far as I know is doing a good job for him after going from the 10 to 12 inch
