**OFFICIAL FORCED INDUCTION RANDOM CHAT THREAD**

Seems like the vent would work best if it was located above the exhaust manifold, that way the heat gets pulled out quickly. Air going through the rad would immediately get sucked out through the vent if it was located forwards more

DO IT ON ALL FOURS
Re: **OFFICIAL FORCED INDUCTION RANDOM CHAT THREAD**
It's hard to say mainly due to airflow characteristics at varying speeds. As pressure deltas change, so will the effects. But from what I gather, his goal is more for idle than while driving. Like I said before, in that case, hood spacers will work fine, but could cause cruising speed issues. The only real way without calculations AND testing would be to have equipment to be able to just do the testing. Albeit expensive considering you would need a few, but something like it would work:
GCDC B1100-2 Barometric Pressure Data Logger
Most vents or louvers you will find vent towards the back of the car to make use of pressure deltas while hopefully limiting drag. A good example of using the stock hood and cutting it down for evacuation is this car shown below. Making the lip higher on the hood could have negative effects on the car overall. Then again, I am no engineer - just some hillbilly with the Internet.

Yesss
Thats exactly what i was thinking of doing next. Since this hood never been on my car i didnt know how much room i had before i hit the motor or manifold.
I did some cruising last night and got some more numbers.
Going to drive it a bit after work in the sun and record that then swap hoods and see what happens

I put the hood on so I can log temps on the way home from work and decided to do a quick drive
So far the temps drop a hell of a lot faster when the rad fan kicks
on and off. Temps are 20-30 degrees cooler too. I can feel a lot of heat rising from the scoop when the fan turns on also.

Yeah man. This heat soak is no joke lol
Ok so today on the way home from work in traffic my iat temps stayed pretty stable. Barely dipped above 100 degrees but I think that's when I pulled up to my house

I just looked I paid $282 shipped for all 4. I don't have experience with the others you listed, but I know a lot of people have really good luck with the neo gens.

Yeah it's just I searched and on Google a old thread came up and a member brought up to my attention that nitto are all season tires not racing tires . So yeah ? I hear a lot of good things about nittos it's just if I can get some ultra high performance tires I think I want to try those

I have dz102s (update from the 101s) 20psi tire pressure in my car cut like, a 2.40 or 2.50 60ft? Cant remember. Car wanted more revs cause it was bogging slightly launching at 3800rpm. I'm not boosted though

Re: **OFFICIAL FORCED INDUCTION RANDOM CHAT THREAD**
Oh okay would you say they grab good m4xwellmurd3r? And boosted gsr i would let to get them too but the Dunlop are way cheaper
#1693
They grab good for my car, but I'm only putting down around 145whp on a stock head ls. I think 200+ need at least R compound tires to hook up good. Once I get my fun head rebuilt I'll probably have to look into getting some r compounds or slicks for the track

Re: **OFFICIAL FORCED INDUCTION RANDOM CHAT THREAD**
Oh okay well I'm on boost by gear 5 psi first 7 in second 14 3rd , I'm sure it would be hard to hook in first. I'm just looking for something to possibly hook in second, I already have a lenso set up for the track

Had to fill up some more e85 last night.
I tried to drive as low on 91 as i could the first time i filled up but only got e60.
This time it went up to e80.
I raised the boost up to 16 pounds and damn does this turbo spool up fast when youre asking for more pressure. Butt dyno thinks it was almost at 280-300
Got a cool sticker too

I was thinking about going the E85 route but what scares me is the fluctuation in octane I hear about E85. Sometimes you will get E85 and sometimes you will get E70 or below. What happens if you tune on E80 and then get a batch of E60?

Then the car runs rich. Not really an issue unless your making alot of power. I've never had any issues with inconsistency even driving 800 miles across the midwest and filling up in 4 different states.

Real ems with gm flex fuel sensor bro
When this tank runs out i can fill up on 91 without touching a single setting or flipping a switch.
It also tells you the temp of your fuel which is cool too.
