Re: "it's not going to happen to me" stolen :-( (95jeremie)
well it's not as bad as i expected
wheels and tires are gone
gauges and gauge cluster was ripped out
radio and system was ripped out
dizzy and wires are gone
ecu (p28) was cut (time for a wire tuck)
all the items that was in the car are gone
i know there are items sitting in your garage that i could put to use.
not asking for handouts but would love some help.
will have pics whenever i get home
waiting on the tow truck now.

Re: "it's not going to happen to me" stolen :-( (b18_ef_hatch)
so a friend of a friend decided to hydroplane his car into the divider on highway 285 (runs around Atlanta).
sucks for him (but he was unharmed)
kick *** for me
he is not going to claim it on his insurance because they will drop him
so he is going to hook me up with it for only $200 (not 100% decided on that part yet... but no more than $500)
it was totaled from the rear so i will give me 99% of what i need to ge my car back on the road...
so more good news for me

Re: "it's not going to happen to me" stolen :-( (95jeremie)
Definitely feel lucky that you got it got stolen before you turbo'd it and with so little gone.
When my turbo Integra got stolen, they took EVERYTHING, literally everything, battery, manual, carpet etc etc.
This is the reason I am getting out of honda's. Im sick of hiding my hard work in the garage and not feeling like I can enjoy it and take it somewhere. I don't know about where you are, but its pisses me off around here that is is the illegal mexicans 95% of the time.!!
Glad you got yours back in decent condition.

I just started reading this thread on the 22.
When I read that your car was stolen, I couldnt even start to imagine what it would be like to have a car stolen. YOU ARE SO LUCKY TO HAVE GOTTEN IT BACK!!!!
I hope everything goes OK from here on out, you GOT A BIKE outa the deal though so thats a plus.
PUT THAT TURBO ON!!!
but not until you get a GOOD ALARM! or a new key pad!

Re: "it's not going to happen to me" stolen :-( (95jeremie)
Im sorry for your troubles dude. I can understand your pain. I havent had something stolen yet but i know whats its like to have money and passion go down the drain. Im afraid of the same happening to me. Right now im in a pretty much bone stock ek 4dr but im makin plans and saving money. Im spending time on here and other sites learning what i can. I think one of the biggest things i just learned is to spend good money on a good alarm. It happens often out here and happened to my friend's turbo'd eg hatch recently. It screwed his life. It would if it happened to me too. I dont see many built ek's around here and i plan on doing some good things to mine. So im kinda scared. But hey at least your on your way to fixin her back up. Good luck!!!

Re: "it's not going to happen to me" stolen :-( (95jeremie)
well
it's rebuild time
i now have just about everything i need except a hood and instrument cluster
i even scored the same radio that i had in it
good and bad news...
good___i ended up not selling the kit...
bad____moisture was apparently trapped in the car for the last 6 months and now i gotta deal with a mold problem...
so now i have a few questions and figured that i would ask here first
1. they cut my ecu harness. i have a new plug that i am planning on soldering in.
not a problem for me but the question is... how do i determine what wire is what?
i have the pin out http://www.ff-squad.com/technet/wiring.obd1.htm
but there are more than one of some wires... like connector A pin 12
yellow/green and connector D pin 19 is yellow/green as well.
so i guess the question is... in the car there is going to be 2 yellow/green
wires how would i determine what is what?
2. i have heard mixed reviews on the soldering in a new plug idea?
have any of yall done this?
3. the mold issue... and ideas on where to start?
new carpet from Honda is like $450
that's it for now
i have a lot of pictures that i took once i got it in the garage
i will get them loaded up asap
but today is one of my off days so i gotta get to work on it
it's starting to get cold ha ha
