Default HELP: IQ3 dash and AEM series2 problems

So I just got home after another disappointing night in the shop and Im about to give up on these.

Basically, I have a Racepak IQ3 non logger dash, Vnet EFI module (CAN) for AEM series2 obd1 6040 ECU. All bought BNEW.

These are the things that Ive done so far.

Racepak IQ3 non logger dash FW:18

1. Wired IQ3 power and ground wires etc to turn on by on/off button
2. Connected EFI module from the ECU to the back of the IQ3 (CAN H and CAN L)
3. Attached a female terminator to the back of the EFI cable
4. Attached serial cable from IQ3 to laptop
5. Wired the toggle buttons

Datalink ver4.2

1. Downloaded the newest firmware of Datalink ver4.2
2. Installed Datalink software & selected IQ3
3. Launched Datalink
4. File, Open Car Configuration
5. Selected configuration - IQ3_NONLogger_config
6. Settings, Scan COM Port, Discover success on a port
7. Clicked Edit, Read VNET Config
8. Module configuration setup is complete

Dash display

1. Now that the channels have been read, Right click on IQ3 Display channel
2. 4 x dash screens appear to customise
3. I choose some data which doesn't require the car running to see data ie: Volts, tps, coolant temp etc
4. SEND Configuration
5. The new screen changes are now visible
6. Switch off

AEM series2 6040 V24

1. Wire the Racepak EFI module into CAN H into C2 and CAN L into A22
2. Wire two sensors of AEM 150psi pressure sensor into ADCR11 and ADCR14 for oil pressure and fuel pressure.

AEMtuner latest version
1. Connect AEMseries2 via USB> Open AEMTuner
2. Open calibration
3. Click setup Wizard> Telemetry:AEMNet> AEMNet Datastream "Matched"
4. Click Tools> Config Telemetry> Can Telemetry> Enable
5. Add channels ADCR11 and ADCR14> Configure Channel> Rename> Set min value=0, max value=150
6. Save calibration.

Now here is the problem its all connected and I set it up as written above. When I turn on the ignition the IQ3 shows NO reading on all channels displayed, all "0" value even Voltage is 0. It seems that they are not "talking".

But in AEMTuner the channels are reading everything.

The IQ3 buttons works too, but still no readings whatsoever.

I have talked several times with AEM and Racepak in regards with the changes that I made above thats is why Im really disappointed now that I cant seem to figure it out.

Im running out of hope on these. If you know how to set it up correctly please post it up or if i have done something wrong please point it out.

I cant tune and race my car for over a month now because of this issue.

Any help I will greatly appreciate.

Thank you!

If your AQ-1 was recently sent into AEM, the firmware could have been updated to 1.3 and you need to update your software for the AQ-1 to connect.

Yes...I read and acknowledged that he is using an AQ-1. I was merely stating that if it was recently serviced by AEM...a new Saoftware/Firmware was released and the problem with him connecting to the unit could be because of that.

acdr channels won't work with racepak, since they aren't programmed can channels in the interface.

tried that a while ago with my series-2 never got it to work, you'll have to get a usm module, and take the output voltage from the acdr channels and put them into the usm module that will comunicate with the dash to display the voltage only, use the series-2 to log, and the racepak to display new configurable inputs channels.

haven't been on hT for a very long time sorry. if you need help message i had this setup last year.

None of that is true.

The Racepak vNet > AEM Module actually has some ADCR pre-configured on a few channels in either their serial or CAN cables, serial is generally ready to go just set A and B values in DataLink, CAN is a bit different

The problem you most likely had was how the IQ3 converted the raw data value from an ADCR channel and the resulting wacky numerical display on the dash. I have no problem having 0-5V sensors at various ADCR inputs on a Series 2 displaying properly on an IQ3.

The OP had his IQ3 and AEM sent in to me to check it out, had it configured and done in an hour, only thing I found slightly off was the user set CAN speed.
