AEM EMS coil dwell factor
Hi,
I have a question regarding the coil dwell factor. What is the best settings? I have ''upgraded'' ignition part but still get boost cut/missfire above 9-10 psi when I try to gap the plugs larger than .18... is this normal or I should be able to get wider gap? The car is a GT30R B18c1 that is boosted since 2007.
Stock ignitor bypass/removed
MSD Digital 6AL Ignition Control
MSD HVC-2 Coil, 6 Series Ignitions
My current dwell factor is 30
dwell max is 4.50
dwell min is 0.05
i'm also curious about the dwell vs batt volts table and dwell vs rpm table.... what do you guys use?
Thanks a lot for your precious help!

Re: AEM EMS coil dwell factor
The only problem you would run into if your dwell was set too high and it is running into each other on the high RPM. You having a MSD installed pretty much doesnt matter what the dwell is as the MSD is controlling all of this. Is this a Series 1 or Series 2 EMS. What do you have selected in the Coil Dwell Wizard?
