i don't think anyone out there has a product like Quaife that backs their trannies with a lifetime warranty even under race conditions

So when did they come out with a new gearset? Is the billet housing required? Are they going to machine the VSS hole to accept a stock VSS?

No one's asking for a lifetime warranty on a tranny....that is why I am asking for feedback from people that have used different gear sets.

It will be available thursday, we have two showing up. We are going to test the following tuesday. You do not have to run a Billet bellhousing............but I reccommend it. Yes the bellhousing will have provisions for VSS.

hmmmm...i'm running Quaife gears and they work sick...no issues at all. i'm using honda OEM tranny fluid with them and shifts like butter. tranny has the same gear ratios as the '99-2000 ITR but with their 4.78 FD and LSD. their lifetime warranty is just icing on the cake

i don't think there's a company out there that backs their products like Quaife does...you get what you pay for I guess.

You sure the quaife gears have a lifetime warranty? i know the diff does, but it's hard to believe the gears do. What if you break a case and it damages the gears?

they only warrant the diffs.....they would have gone out of business if they warranted gears...as the VR6 guys break them all the time

I don't see anywhere about the warranty on the gears. Also, how much power/trq are you making? Did you have an issue breaking gears before you switched over?

Are you having any wheelspin/hop with the M&H tires on your pulls that break the gears? Also does your car spin on the dyno any? Not that it's the problem, but just curious if it may be a issue.

The car spins some. I run the tire pressure lower when I am running race gas and the MHs on the street/track so it normally hooks in 3rd gear when I am doing the pulls.

I have never had any issue with wheel hop in this setup.

Wheel spin on the dyno is minimal to none.

Please tell me that the Rc is lower than stock, not higher... If the Rc is any higher than stock on the final drive, inspect it early and often!

From my understanding it is just the bellhousing from Libertys. That is the info I had gathered in my research.

In actuallity, the book says stock case..... The piece from liberty is a bell housing.... Also the housing acts as a scatter shield also...

Is the Liberty bellhousing SFI approved? Until it is, you still have to run a scattershield. I'm pretty sure it's not SFI yet.
