Off Topic, GZM Supra Crap...
Well this is totally off topic but I figured I’d get it out anyway. Anywho we took the Supra out this past weekend and managed a 9.75 @ 147 which isn’t anything special but our first single digits pass. I actually had Mike (jdmDXrex) tape that run but at the end of the day when we were watching all the runs I accidently taped over that pass. So all I really have is the launch to the 1/8th mile. I posted this on the “Supraforums” last night and it started a huge debate because the 9.75 was the last run of the day after most people left. Earlier that day the car was running 10.0-10.50’s still on low boost in the 135mph range and they just couldn’t comprehend it going any faster. Even with the time slip they still didn’t believe it because; #1 “we were running after the bikes and they might have gave us the wrong slip” except for that fact that by the time we made that pass eliminations had been over for half an hour and just about everyone (besides a couple cars) had left. #2 “time slips don’t prove anything because how can you prove they are really yours” as if anyone is going to lie about something this stupid. The only thing these guys would believe is a video which I had already explained to them was gone. So anyway just a few hours ago (~6:00PM) my post was completely deleted, not locked like we do here on H-T. They also locked Mike’s name, mine, and the shops. It turns out that the main guy starting all this crap is friends with the moderators and had us taken off. I really think he wanted the post off because he had already made himself look stupid after “proving” us wrong (but then when we said call up Woodburn Dragstrip and ask them he had nowhere to go). He told me to go back to Honda-Tech and so I did. I only made a name on there to post a video, but they’re really too much over there and I couldn’t deal with them anyway. Nothing special, just figured I’d let you all know (if you didn’t already) that the Supraforums.com are a waste of time.
More onto the topic of racing, hopefully within the next month we'll have the car dialed in on high boost. Should be good for mid 8's in full street trim but we'll see.
Here's the 10.01 vid, I really wish I wouldn't have fucked up with the 9.75 but like I said it's not all that great in the Supra world anyway. -Adam

haha thanks, I really shouldn't call it a video, maybe a "short clip", but you're right about the launch. It has a lot of room to improve there as well as the rest of the way down the track. I'm finally getting somewhere on the 2004 vid so with some luck hopefully I'll have it up in the next couple of months.

Adam...I wasnt able to make it up to woodburn to watch...wish I would have now. Anyway, did you see if horsepower freaks got their white supra running good?
I saw them doing some shake down runs the night before...they were having some problems getting the car off the line....it would lunge forward, then fall on its face...
BTW: Congrats on the awsome times!

they did show up the best i saw the white supra run was a 11.1x@133 on drag radials ... one of the races they lined up against us and i guess their crank angle sensor went out and the car detonated hard for a few seconds followed by a 3ft flame and another footlong flame... the car had to be trailered home but they are supposed to have the car back out with higher boost and nitrous soon....
the same goes with out supra we also will be coming out with more boost as we we were on low boost (for a supra motor) all day long.
We are looking forward to both cars running even faster times

Good stuff as usual Adam. I guess all the drama comes with being a front runner. I and many others know you guys are legit. Anyone who doesn't know this car is SICK!!! Keep it up and the 8's should come soon.

There are quite a few big name shops on that forum...so I'm not surprised that when you guys are pushing on their times, then they would seek ways to discredit you. Sorry to hear that no one believes a Supra can run 9's....LOL! Especially coming from the very population that drives these cars! So much for progression...
Good luck with your situation. And great job on the quick runs!

The RX7 isn't legal to race since it has the fuel cell (it's actually just a surge tank) in back (needs a firewall dividing it from the cabin) but since it really just is a street car ralph doesn't want to go through all the work. He's raced Brian out in Hood River at the airport last year (Brian with slicks) and it starts reeling him in 3rd gear. It would probably do low 10's but who knows for sure. that's cool, we need to get your motor finished up too. It's gonna be fun! As for the Honda's they did horrible. We just got the FAST on Brian's car so we just started track tuning it (really only half passes). Duc's car is having ignition problems all of third and fourth gear (i.e. the rpm is going 7500 - 7800 - 7300 - 8000 - 8500 - 7800) and it's only doing high 10's to 11.0. Hopefully we'll get everything straight within the month. Will's Rex is all traction, his new boost controller will be going in soon. That's about it. Peace

I would rather be here anyway. Supra Forums doesn't have the best turbo tech. Very nice times on the Supra. It's street driven correct?

Yea, I totally agree with ya there. to Honda-Tech! Thanks for the compliments and yes it's street driven. It doesn't see a lot of street crusing right now as we're just trying to get the thing dialed in with more power but once it's all done I'm sure Ralph will be driving it to work, etc. He's been taking it out the last few nights after work having fun (street tuning)

I posted up on a local forum with the pictures a long time ago and some of the domestic people said that was one of the cleanest Supra's they had ever seen. Now with some track time to back it up it's even better
