Default No LSD but 2 wheel burnouts

why is it that my b16 transmission allows me to do big smokey two wheel burnouts without an LSD? i thought only one wheel was supposed to spin, but im on my 2nd b16 hydro tranny and with both of them i could burn out both tires. My first transmission didnt allow it all the time but the one i have now always spins both tires and im sure it is a non lsd tranny. So what is the deal with this?

ive had a few GSR trannies,,, well actually all of my GSR trannies even tho open diff would still spin both tires evenly. 1st,2nd,& 3rd. I think it might have to do with your power levels. If you lay enough power down it somehow locks it. I dont know, thats just my theory.

After i installed a LSD only difference i experienced was when exiting corners under acceleration, which was greatly improved.

Sometimes you get lucky and the open diff actually works like a charm.

I totally agree. I currently have a GSR tranny w/ an open diff and 3rd gear burnouts heat both tires equally until I let out of it. I had a b16 YS1 and it also "acted" like it had a LSD. The cable LS trans that was in my last setup wouldn't turn both tires to save my life though . It's a toss up.
