91' LS-VTEC

The NW DSM club got together for a little dragracing this weekend,and a few others came out in support. Well, rumor has it. This guy barrowed this car from a dealer, and decided to bring it to the track for a little test & tune.

If you've ever driven or raced one...you know they get REAL squirrely at the top of first(mind you its a VERY long gear) and into 2nd. If you cant back pedal a car you shouldn't be driving a viper let alone race one.

I've raced and driven a 96 R/T 10, 2001 GTS ACR, and a 2005 SRT-10. The 8.3L is a kick in the pants. I bet he started to spin at the top of 1st walking right...and slammed 2nd spun the tires even harder and the back end walked out to the left...lifted on the throttle and ate the wall.

You nailed it. This was his 2nd run. Once he got into 2nd the rear end broke loose, rite befor the 1/8mile marker and slam.

Lots of people runing 12's. Lucas English had a 11.09 run.

I am pretty sure that the car wasnt a dealership car....... the reason I say that is because I was going to buy the same color Viper and the dealer wouldnt even let me test drive it.

Yep. And just like a lot of cars the tires they come with ... Well ... Are not the best

i dunno... i've seen some salesmen from a dealership here bring a car out on a truck like that to race it..

Viper tires are fine. You can only do so much with that much torque and power. It's not a freaking drag car... even though they are more than capable to drag.

I dont know of many dealerships that would let a salesman bring a $90K+ car to the track to race it and then turn around and try to sell it....... If they do then you have some F'ed up dealerships out there where you are
