Default Need Little help for all motor b serries drag eg

Hi to evryone,I have a civic eg 1992 b20vtec swap build motor N/A put out 257whp on dynojet 1763 lbs with me in the car,i went to my local drag strip is no prep track and only 1000ft we dont have 400m in my county and i had big problems with traction i had on the car 215/50/15 dunvlop direzza 15×8 rim, with first gear launge at low rpm i made 10.3s with only 0.1 bar air, i dont know my sixty foot they dont give as paper but it was not good at all i thing,so my next run i launge the car with 2nd gear the same 0.1bar of air i made 4 runs and my best time was 10.1 with 2nd gear burnout and 2nd gear launge (1000ft)so i buy some 13x8 rims with 25" m/h tires from a friend at very good price and i will try them i know is too big normally for N/A but is the best i can get now (i think to by 23"s)if the slicks hook better than my semislics(dunvlop)my gearbox is 4.4 integra sir with mugen lsd my car have tractionbar campers all around with k sport suspention, its not a bugget car so i try put on it the best ,my goal is low 9s at 1000ft ,25" slicks will help me at all?the track is like normal road no prep at all eny help will be great sorry for my english

Yes, slicks will help out a lot.
I think your bigger though issue is too much traction with those tall of tires. But, I'm going off of my own experience on a prepped track.
I made 270hp on a B series and ran 23" slicks. I had to keep the tire pressure a little on the high side (high for fwd drag racing) to prevent bogging out. I was used to turbo and had to run 6psi tire pressure. When I applied that to all motor, it didn't work out the same and I had to raise my pressure up to 10psi. then I got it to spin the right amount. But like I said, that was all on a prepped track. You will have to play with the tire pressure to get it to hook right (not too much, but not too little where you blow the tires off)
Start high and work your way down to right before you start bogging out.
My next piece of advise, is don't launch in 2nd gear. 2nd is a longer gear and you will loose out on acceleration. Raise your launch rpm and mess with the tire pressure until you get a good launch with the right amount of spin. I launched in 1s gear around 6-7000rpms (depending on conditions) But launching that high also kept it in the good part of the power band.
Last piece, which you already addressed, get 23s. 25s are way too tall of a tire for all motor B series unless you're making 350+. Even then I think Id still stick with 24.5s. Anyways, 25s will hurt your acceleration since its a taller tire. Its like running a longer final drive. Shorter tires = faster accel, find the right tire pressure for your track and higher rpm and launch in 1st. My best advise.
Hope this helps.

So i went to the track last sunday with the 25"(the track is no prep 1000ft track)i try em out i made burn out in 2nd gear at my first rum my best time was 9.9 2.0 60ft(before was 10.1) ,i dont push it more i knew that the car can go 9.8 eazy but in a race with a gtr i broke a axle when i put second gear,i replace the axle but i dont push the car for more )the fun part was the gtr make 1.8 60ft it was a 500whp nissan gtr the track is peace of s**t ,on my pull when i put 3rd gear i feld the car to slow down my tires was 1.2 bar (17psi) so its to big for me i will order 23s,i run with 2 subarus sti in 10s intex and i go verry well i came 3rd in my category and my opomens was all awd turbo cars,i had a new problem, when i put second gear for the burn out evry time i move little forward to be sure for the gear and then i start to making burn out, the 2nd gear fall i putt 2nd again i try again the same the car push it out and i putt first gear and do my burn out, is because the tires was to big??i am very happy because i am in the 9s(9.9) iam a step closer to my goal,i hope with the new tires (23") to get ever closer, the car have the power! , sorry for my english 😀
this is the race that i lost and get the 3nd place 9.9 for me 9.8 for the sti
this is my first run
9.9 (i finish in 3rd gear at 1000ft for all my runs)

Great job! I do think the 23"s will be much better. There is a good possibility that the tall tires could have hurt your 2nd gear and probably broke your axle. 23s will be more forgiving. One thing I did not mention is to get a good preload on your launch. That will save your drivetrain as well as give you a much better launch and bring down your 60'
