Help me hit 10's, time slip video included
I've been trying to get into the 10's for the past two year ahaha but havent got there yet, car is a cx hatch on 93 octane make around 420whp or so. please look at my time slip and criticize on where i could do better, i feel that my 1-2 is not fast enough and 330 is not fast enough as well. How much should i ride the limiter in 1st gear, am i on it too long according to the video?

Yeah, you rode it too long and your shift was slow, also sounds like you shifted to 3rd a bit early and probably cost you the 10 Good 60ft to run a 10 as well as the trap speed. With a perfect run id say 10.8 with a 130 trap. Keep trying and im sure you will get it. Im in the same boat. Went 11.10@132 but spun 1st 2nd and some of 3rd on the old slicks i was running and a 1.76 60ft. Next time out i was on 30psi on the 60 trim and aftermarket intake manifold and up about 100whp and beat my 1/8th mile time and trapped 108 then blew a coupler. Very next run I snapped the axle on a dead hook launch from 8k rev limiter.
It just takes persistance and practice. Now im trying to just skip the 10's and do 9's hahaha. More than likely ill hit a 10 before the 9 though. lol Just going out with enough power to run 9's with a good run.

First the track wasn't up to par, I was in the white hach running high 9's, is faster than that, I think ur car is a sick street car. Why u wanna run 10's. Just rock it......

Tranny is a GSR 1-4th LS 5th with synchrotech carbon synchro and qauife lsd with clutchmaster stage 5.
Im running ectune, do you guy just shift to 2nd or ride the limiter for a little? should i try full throotle shift? my problem is not cutting a good 60 foot. I cut 1.6 60 foot every single time, i just need to shift to 2nd at the right time and faster.

Yeah you def rode out 1st a little long...you want to shift right at that 60' marker basically. Also I forgot what suspension you are running but you can see your car is weight transferring like crazy...which is slowing you down as well.

After watching you ride out 1st, it doesnt look bad. You ride it out to the 60, maybe a little past. But your shift into second is definitely slow. After that, just ride out your power band, and hit shifts without hitting limiter. Seems like youre doing alright.

even though its been said before, and im going there this week myself, you should try a different track than the valley. ive always run a few tenths faster with a few more mph at englishtown and even island than lebanon.
other than that either the 1-2 shift is a little slow or you might fall slightly out of boost right after the upshift into 2nd.
nice setup and nice clean engine bay!

like chris said you have alot of weight tranfer going on. the power is there. what are you reving to? it seems like the back half power is there but something is slowing you down. if you can drop .3 off your 1000ft you are going tens easily

Thanks for all the help, i think i will be able to hit 10's at lebanon valley. i just need to figure out my 1-2 shift and get my 330 down to a 4.7 and ill get there.
I dont go to the track often so my next time is probably not until october

Drive it the way you've been driving it...don't change anything. Same tire pressure, same launch, etc..... Just do a full throttle shift and I guarantee you will the 10's.

Re: Help me hit 10's, time slip video included
i shift right away when i hit the limiter in 1st. my 60fts are worse than yours but my 330ft DESTROYS yours. looking at the bigger picture id rather have a low 330ft than a low 60ft.
last pass i had a 1.72 60ft and a 7.0 1/8th. im making around the same power as you, my car weighs about 2400lb with me in it.
also trapping under 100mph at the 1/8th is a little weak, maybe 2nd and 3rd need more boost?
