Default Chasebays & Rywire Has anyone done business with these guys?

So I was in need of a harness for my civic and I look up both companies I thought Rywire was the company of choice so i call and ask how long it takes and I was told 2 weeks because the harness I was looking for was very very simple. Ok So I was charged $650.00 I paid and it was not a problem! I call almost 2 weeks afte then I was told 10-13 days. I said well you guys told me 2 weeks and its been about 2 weeks. Rywire then tells me another week and a half so I cancell my order and get recomende by a friend of chase through chase bays.

So on to another set of problems I call chase bays and they let me know they have a harness in in stock and it could **** out on a saturday take in mind I am calling on thursday and they said "all we have to do is change the alt and dizzy harness pigtails and we can **** it on saturday! I say fine and agree to pay their asking price $650.00 so he says it will be here the following wednesday so here I am waiting for my harness I call them wednesday night and let them know I did not recieve it. Then at this time I am told that they didnt make it on time to the post office on the saturday they had promised so they had to ship it out on tuesday! Which messed me all up cause I didnt understand why monday was out of the question maybe there are no mondays in cali I dont know. So now its lost in the mail and they shipped it out on wednesday and now chase is in the hospital this that and the other thing.

What ever happened to just doing business? WTF is wrong with these guys so now $1300 held up between rywire and chase bays and still no harness I went to honda and did what I should have done from the beginning just made my own so buyer beware.

bad business experience from both of these guys!

Just letting you guys know!

ooops I promised him I wouldnt do this ahhh what the heck they both made promises they couldnt keep!

You haven't got a refund from the original guy yet?

Eh every time I buy something online it seems to go wrong one way or the other tends to work out in the end.

Goodluck.

A couple of my friends have been dealing with the monkeys over at Chase Bays.. Needless to say, the one guy that did receive his harness had a pile of problems with it, and the other two guys have been getting nothing but the run around for the last few months..

Look Chase, I'm talking **** about you again, this is what happens when you can't take care of your customers.

On a side note, Rywire has always seemed to take care of their customers, let me know next time you need something..

I have dealt with Chase a few times...

Some of the transactions have taken a little longer than originally quoted, but I have recieved everything I asked for and the quality was great.

The harness wasn't the only thing I was waiting for so the wait didn't bother me much

i had a customer with one of these harnesses (dont remember which of the 2 that it was so i dont want to guess). asside from all of the check engine lights, i was scared the car was going to catch on fire with how small all of the power wiring was with in the harness.

man, you have had the worst luck of anybody ive ever seen when it comes to getting parts. seems like you have been waiting 10 times longer than your told on every part you order.

Hate to read a thread like this. Noone is out to scam you, they had good intentions but are taking longer than expected on your harness.

Not too long ago, I remember reading a thread here where someone was complaining that your stickers didn;t make it in time for the race, and you seemed to understand how sometimes business and life gets in the way etc etc...

im still waiting on a harness that i sent chase bay march 8th, 2009, he told me 1 and half months to get it done. its july now.. multiple excuses, tons of bs. chasebays ftl
They worked on my first harness months ago did a great job and did it in a timely manner. The problem is that they took in too much work and can't get it done fast enough. if they spent more time doing harness than making excuses stuff would get done.
supposedly my harness is going to be out soon so we will see whats happens.

I never understood why its so expensive. I buy a used harness and clean it up. Just remove the plugs I dont need. Simple

Really? Show me that post! Depending when they ordered it and if not I kept the person informed! I have shpped overnight to peoples hotel rooms so they have stuff before a race! Fact of the matter is you make a promise you keep that promise. I was told all they had to do was change over a couple of pig tails and it would ship right out! Where is it now??? Still no harness.

P.S. I think your talking about the situation with Boosted Jeff ask him or joe simpson why they didnt get the decals in time. Actually they both understood why and were all still good friends actually I am making some stickers for joe and also some business cards for jeff. lol

True...

While I have never dealt with Chase, I have first hand experience with Peter and Ryan at Rywire. I sold most of my ecu jumper stuff to them back in 2005 and continue to build their automatic and nissan stuff. They are so busy it is not even funny. I am not saying though that it is an excuse for poor customer service, but to go through so many calls in one day is crazy. They do so much baby sitting and answering stupid questions from people they need to get a verizon help line setup so that you can't reach anyone...lol

I pointed Ryan to this thread to check it out and resolve the Rywire issues. Sorry about all that happened man.

These aren't used dirty harnesses. They use brand new connectors, pins, good shrink, etc. Crap takes time and you don't go to radio shack and buy a tps sensor connector at Qty. 1 or 2.
