I don't have a problem getting both going, it helps when you have water and the burn out area is up hill a little bit.

Yea, i have coilovers. There angled so my back is up higher than my front. And with slicks and pumped up rears, it makes it even greater. Once i back off the throttle both go pretty well.

access to corner weighting scales is great, but you can play with them on your own too and get it better.
if you notice one tire always spins less than the other, either lower that coilover slightly(as in,lower the ride height) or lower the opposite rear a little to take some weight off that tire and hopefully equal it out some.
i had my car set up with the open diff that it'd spin both tires pretty much equally on street tires or slicks.

I have 188/140 and M&H 23.8.5x15 slicks. What is the best way to do a 2nd gear burnout. Bring it up to 8k, let the clutch back and go full throttle?

just curious, what is the deciding factor when choosing what gear to do burnouts?

open/closed diff? amount of HP? traction setup?

i can spin both radials with open diff. i wind up scraping tire bits off both fenders when i get home. ~330whp. hit the waterbox, 2nd gear burnouts off the limit a few times.

you dont want to turn toooo much in the burn out ....at the point of traction in the burnout you may wall the car....1/4 wheel left and right ....

i have left the E brake up for a lil while longer than i should, and by the time the car had pulled me out my *** was about to swing, lol a good burn out is wheel speed, the faster u spin your wheels the bigger the smoke, *hence ppl doing higher gear burnouts* gets the really got and smokey

do your techniques apply only to boosted applications? How would you do a burnout on an open diff with an NA motor?

im N/A right now and yesterday was my first time on slicks. i was told to go through the water box, rev to about 7 or 7500 and dump the clutch and hold the rpms high during the burnout. during turn the wheel right to left to ensure both wheels spin.

pretty much the same thing everyone has been saying. it seemed to work pretty nicely

when I had an open dif, I did 2 burnouts...usually one tire will lite up, then I backed up in the box again, did a second burnout. Since one tire was already heated up, it grip letting the other one go...2 burnouts and double the pain on your tranny.
