Atmore Dragway (Alabama) approved to reopen!
So i read some info today that the indians passed the 1 million dollar investment to reopen atmore dragway and renovate it. Now i dont know if its going to be quarter mile but i know that was one of the big parts of the original deal. Apparently the operator the track in mobile will be running the show.
So yea, if it turns quarter mile even better but regardless a track 50 minutes from my house.

New location for IFO that was the first track I ever raced at.
Im pretty sure itll remain an eighth mile so IFO wont run an event there.

Track looks great!!! They did a hell of a job! I cant wait to get out there again with my slicks to solve my traction issues I was dealing with opening weekend,

if you look at the track on google maps, its clear that they have already laid brand new concrete for the 1/8 mile and that there is also not enough room for a 1/4 extension. Who cares. BRING AN EVENT TO IT AND WE WILL COME! Looks nice already.

Ahh no need for it to be a quarter mile buddy. The 1/8 mile is great for testing. It also makes you focus harder on your short track numbers and traction problems. Id be willing to bet that 75% of races or more are won in the eighth with no leader change in the second half of the track. I like the fact that the 1/4 is a big deal to me for big races only lol

I test 1/8 mile for the most part. Most of my events this year are 1/8 in NC. But I don't believe your percentage of race wins in the 1/8 to the qtr is accurate. At least not in the boosted category and especially sport compact. The domestic world generally sees the leader by the 1/8 mile be the winner.
