10.8 Civic Hatch on drag radials
At New England Dragway yesterday (wed 9/22)
There was a silver EK civic hatchback with a turbo system at the least. Wouldn't pop his hood or anything. Just knew it was turbo'd and on street drag radials.
Pulled a 10.8 at 13x something, and backed it up with a few low 11's.
I have never ever seen a honda do this on Street tires.....
Anybody else?

Re: 10.8 Civic Hatch on drag radials (Turbocivic94)
You know I think that guys who dont pop their hoods are da's. What does it matter, do they think they have something that is top secret that the rest of us have never seen? So they have a turbo H22 with a 500hp shot of nawz(or whatever), who gives a ****. Shut up and race.

Re: (nyce1)
what shop built it? it wasn't us, it wasn't BPR and i've yet to see another shop in the NE area even come close to building 500+HP civic's like we have that would even come close to running those times.
but if there is some sleeper shop i'd like to know who they are.
and i'll call it right now that without running 140+MPH there is no way you'll run 10.8 on a cool 60degree track with no traction compound and 225/50 g-forces.
so unless this person had his wheel wells cut out and was running giant et streets, its very unlikely that it happened.

I don't see any reason it is not possible. Cunha will probably go 10's next time hes out on the M&H's and maybe even on the bfg's... I defintitly agree we need some proof though.

I believe it's possible. Just hard to believe without a video or timeslip. Maybe it was on M&H DOT street/slicks...
