Single Bosch 044 intank setup. 2004 Honda S2000. Custom hanger. Compared to the stock hanger with a drop-in Walbro. -6 feed/return. We've already made over 600whp and there is still a lot more head room for more.

Have any of you guy's looked into the Bosch 040 pump for in the tank vs. the 044?

There is no fitting/inlet on the bottom of the pump at all. The bottom of the pump is the entire filter/sock built into the pump. Will allow you to mount it lower in the tank as well if you are having issues.

The 040 sucks, I sent one to Kinsler to get the flow data on it and it's not even close to an 044 in flow. The 023 is closer and in tank only, but still not as much as the 044.

Obviously better than a Walbro 255 right?

Can it operate at the pressure levels the 044 can?

From boschfuelpumps.com it shows the pump needing 6.5bar of pressure to get 300lph of flow where the 044 takes just 5bar.

Tony do you have any experience with the B 261 205 413?

The only difference according to the Bosch PDF is the 044 is rated at 5 Bar and the 413 is rated at 8 Bar, I thought maybe this pump would be better suited to run 100 Base according to what they rate the 044 at. (or is the Bar figure what it takes to get to 200l/h of flow?)

haha. you say that now...there is a reason blown90 did his the way he did. and im realizing it now. first and foremost. it makes it alot easier to hear the pumps which is annoying. but secondly. if you dont have an exhaust on your car....the crap from your downpipe will come right up through that hole and into the cabin of your car. and believe me. the smell is not anything youre going to want to smell driving your car.

That is one of the reason I went back to a simple setup for my car. I couldnt take the smell from exhaust any longer.

Yup. And the annoying sounds and crappy looks of an open hole, etc. To each his own.

The walbro flows almost 500lbs/hr at very low pressures, like when feeding an 044.

The 040 flows 340lbs/hr at 1psi.
The 044 flows 518lbs/hr at 3psi.

The 040 flows 280lbs/hr at 40psi
The 044 flows 420lbs/hr at 40psi

The 040 flows 188lbs/hr at 100psi
The 044 flows 370lbs/hr at 100psi

The 040 flows 78lbs/hr at 140psi
The 044 flows 280lbs/hr at 140psi

This is all at 13v.

The 413 is the 'cream of the crop' 044, the 'motorsports' version. Supposedly hand picked of the best 044's and about 3-4 times the cost.

I just found pricing on them, they were not that much more. But unfortunately you can only get them from a Bosch Motorsports Dealer and I dont think that exists in America.

There are 2 Bosch Motorsports dealers in the US.

As far as the price difference, it can fluctuate quite a bit depending on where you buy things, but any way you look at it, they're quite a bit more.
