WTT SC61 for smaller turbo!!
I have a Precission SC 6152E that has maybe 2000 miles on it...500 on my setup. Has .63AR 5 bolt housing. The turbo is in awesome condition, no smoke ever, no leaks, and no chips on the wheels. some minor side to side shaft play but normal for a journal bearing turbo.
My deal is that i dont race with this car and am tired of not spooling till after 5500 rpms. I am looking for a 57 trim turbonetics or the like...would like to spool by 4500ish. Has to be brand name and in as good of shape or better than mine. Let me know what u got.
Found these specs for turbo...
PTE SC6152E
Precision uses race bred 360 degree center thrust bearings and a cast turbine housing that allows for the use of garrett style center sections.
This turbo is what happens when the guys at Precision Turbo get creative. What you have is basically the Garrett GT35R compressor wheel on a Garrett big shaft followed by a stage 5 turbine wheel to make the power. When most DSMer's think of obsessive, the choose this turbo! It's a bit laggy, but if your looking to run big boost, this turbo will get you way over the hump!
Max. Rated HP – 630 Horsepower
Part No. - SCM-6152E
Compressor Wheel Diameter – 61mm
Compressor Wheel Inducer - 2.416"
Compressor Wheel Exducer – 3.227" (THATS NOT A TYPO!)
Compressor Wheel Trim – 56 (THATS NOT A TYPO EITHER!)
Compressor Cover Inlet Size – 3”
Compressor Cover Outlet Size – 2”
Bearing System – PTE Race 360 Center Section
Turbine Housing A/R Ratio - .63
Turbine Wheel Style - T35 (Stage V)
Turbine wheel Inducer – 2.795"
Turbine wheel Exducer – 2.437"
Turbine Wheel Trim - 76

damn wouldnt spool til 5500? is your motor built? im interested because i need a bigger turbo for my HP goals, but i don't think i want a turbo that spools that late....mine is a 57trim Garret and would spool at 4-4,500k EASy....

Re: WTT SC61 for smaller turbo!!
Motor is bone stock and my exhaust is restrictive...2.5" cat and resonator and muffler...could be part of the late spool. I like a quick spool and this thing just seems too much for my motor. trades will have to be 5 bolt housing.

I've got a friend in town that was just talking about upgrading his turbo and asked me about the SC61. He currently has a Greddy recently rebuilt by the Gpopshop 57 trim 60/63 with a 5 bolt exh housing. I've forwarded him this thread link and will call him to follow up with you later.
