Default Thinking about a new stereo, wondering what would be best...

I want to upgrade the stereo in my car but Im not sure exactly what would be best. I dont want anything ridiculous, just something better than stock (im not gonna add any subs or amps). Would getting a new head unit and leaving the factory speakers be ok? I found this head unit http://www.crutchfield.com/S-1...CX304
which I like becuase it has a front mount auxillary jack for my IPod. Is that worth getting? Thanks for any input.

Aiwa in a Sony product, it is Sonys entry line, We sell both, I DON'T LIKE AIWA, to many problems.

If all you want is a good HU, [no amps or subs] spend more then $99.99 on it, and yes you can use the stock speakers, you will be surprised at how good the stock speakers will sound with a good HU driving them. 94

OK thanks for the help...is there any particular brand you would recomend? I only need a cd/tuner, not something that plays mp3's or anything. Thanks again for the help.

I recently helped a friend install an Alpine 9827 in his Camry and we were surprised at the difference it made compared to the stock unit. A nice headunit really makes a huge difference. You'll be quite surprised...

I highly recommend the 9827, it's last years model and it's quite inexpensive now.
It's not fancy, the cd slot is in the front... no swingface, etc. A nice inexpensive addition, I think you'll be quite satisfied.

Between the two models available for $150, I'd rather get the 9825... 4V preout but no MP3

Use ebay as a guide for the price you should pay, bargain or buy from ebay. You'll save a few bucks and perhaps you can afford a better model
