best way to wire it up would be using the siren wire because that is a constant power source while your alarm is triggered, if you wired it up using the parklights it will flash with the parklights. Is there a reason why you do not want to use the siren to trigger your strobe lights? if you use a relay it will not lower the volume of your siren.
I think the idea of underneath your dash is a very good idea reason being the strobe will confuse and disorient any thief looking underneath your dash for the alarm brain. Maybe the engine bay too, and somewhere outside the vehicle to attract people in the surroundings.

I agree with 12voltz. It would be best to wire a relay and use the siren output. But if you decide to put it under the dash I would use the parking light output. The flashing will annoy the hell out of the asswipe trying to take your car.

To hook them up to the siren output, you would need a relay triggered by the siren wire.
You do not need a relay for each strobe if your power source the relay switches to is the battery directly.
With a relay, the strobes and the siren will be sufficiently powered.

Keep us updated on how it turns out. Pics if possible, or at least a good description of how it comes out. I'm wondering how easy it is to defeat. I'm also wondering if it's best to put it under the dash or maybe somewhere like the rear cargo area where it would draw attention.

i'm sure it'll be easy to defeat if he wires his relay directly to the battery... all you'll have to do is pop the hood and remove the wire. does he have a backup battery? if not... then he's hooking up strobe lights for no reason.

Because when the alarm chirps, it's only supplying power for a millisecond, which isn't enough time for the strobe to "charge"...
