PKALL bypass problem with Lexus IS300
Hi all,
I am trying to get the remote start to work in my 2004 Lexus IS300 5spd with a Python 991 alarm (same as Clifford 50.7/Viper 5901) and an Expresskit PKALL module. I know it isn't a Honda but someone may have some insight anyways.
The D2D jumpers are in the horizontal position on the brain. All connections to the car are correct, and the PKALL module correctly flashed 10 times when I programmed it.
The car will ONLY remote start when:
The key is next to, but not in, the ignition cylinder.
The blue/white (-) while running wire on the PKALL is NOT connected to the blue/white wire on the alarm brain.
The car will crank but not start when the key is not present and the blue/white wire is NOT connected.
The car will not crank at all when the blue/white wire IS connected.
Also, after the car has remote started and is running, inserting the key or connecting the blue/white wire instantly turns off the engine.
I have already read this post: http://ifar.ca/en/support/products/4...ote-start.html
Unfortunately I don't have a valet key to try reprogramming the module. Either way, the remote start is acting funny because it only wants to work when the blue/white wire is NOT connected and it dies when I insert the key while it's running. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.

Re: PKALL bypass problem with Lexus IS300
Don't use D2D (data to data )....That is the issue.
While some claim success with that connection I have hundreds of documented cases of failure with it. Until DEI can get it correct I advise doing the wire to wire connection.
On a personal note my first experience with D2D was with a TOYOTA platform.
System would not work...Tech support advised I switch to w2w...system worked first try. My advise do the same.
