need help and some ideas
hey guys i bought a 00' em1 couple months ago and the person that had it before had relocated the cd player down at the bottom at the cup holders...I love the way it looks but i dont really like the block off plate up at the climate controls...i wanted to know what people are doing there, like maybe a screen for like naviation. if i could keep the head unit at the bottom and put a screen in place of the block off plate that would be cool, any help would be appreciated.

I did just this in my EM1... Installed a screen in place of my factory CD player and pocket, relocating the CD player to the lower din spot. I used a Pyle 7" screen which was very cheap and actually looks very good considering what I spent on it. I had to do some customizing for the mounting brackets but it was actually very easy as the screen is somewhat wedged in on the top and bottom, leaving only a 2mm gap on each side which I filled with some black rubber to give it a clean look. I have the screen hooked to a slim PS2 for games and DVD's as well as my laptop which I use to display my AEM EMS's configurable dash display. I have the audio going through an input on my aftermarket head unit.
Sorry, I don't post pics of my car on the internet.
