Default Need help, hooked up subs and no sound(sub) when on cd player and fine when on radio?

Today i hooked up my subs to my Kenwood Deck(excelon 659) I hooked up the rca's to the deck and the amp, i hooked up the remote wire to the head and amp(blue wire from cd player) and the the rest power, ground, speaker wire for sub. ok, i have a Alpine MRV-T420 and a JL w1 sub. ok, as for the problem, I only have sound throught the sub when on radio. I might be retarded but i dont know what the hell is going on. When on CD it has no bass the sub isnt pounding. What do you think it is. I am stumped.

i was just trying to get a answer by giving you as much info as possible, just looking for a "maybe its this" "try this" thats all. I had subs in my car once before and this deck worked, that was a couple of years ago though.

The remote power wire running to the amp is hooked up to your power antenna trigger wire in the back of the deck....thus when the radio is on the wire is triggered and amp powers on....you turn on the cd player and the remote turn on isn't hooked up and the amp does not switch on...check your wiring in the back of the deck

Would the light on the amp still be blue if i had this wired wrong? but i will check this tomarrow. there is a blue, and a blue/white or yellow strip. I could of sworn it was the solid blue wire.

cool, i am going to great sounds tomarrow to have it set up for me, but i will try that before i go and see if that fixes it. When it comes to electrical stuff for audio im not very good. I probly could learn but i want it set right. I dont understand all the stuff that controls my amp and everything yet.

the blue wire coming form your amp should be hooked up to a blue wire with a white stripe on it. that is your remote sturn on for your amp. the solid blue wire coming from your deck is for your antenna. that is all you have to do. trying to save you 20-40 bucks they are gona charge a noob in their eyes. well good luck

it's simple. you wired your remote turn on the the wrong wire. you can't wire it to the antenna turn on...the antenna's only on when the radio's on. use the other remote wire.
