In series.....
output from alarm to led(+) to led(+)....neg from led to pos of next led....repeat with the final connection led neg to alarm led neg output or ground ( or if output is neg reverse flow)...most alarms can handle up to 6 leds wired in series.

are you wiring them in parallel ( both + and - together) or in series ( + to - to +)
also hyper leds may be drawing morer current than the alarm led output can handle...you may have to use a relay. Also if you alarm has a ground when armed output you can use this to hook your hyper leds up to ( they just wont flash together...,but it will work)

no, i have switched them so they are in a series. is there anyway so i can just make it so these led's will come on when the alarm one is on and what not. will it work if i set the new leds to a new 12volt source and then ground it through the alarm ground source?

hey, here's the thing, i tried it, and blew one out cuz of the current. you MUST use the relay. despite the voltage, the current is too high. also, tap the BRAIN of the alarm. not the existing red led wire. hope this helps! but i changed it to a switch. the led is too bright that it lights up my car at night. i didn't want people to look inside, so i changed it to a switch for on/off purposes. hope this helps man.

hey, it sounds like you have used the varad leds, well i thing i just blew my second one, and now i am irritated. Basically what i am looking for is for my led to light up my whole car. i tried replacing just the led, by cutting the top of the varad led light, so i had just a red and black wire then cut off my old led and rewired it, but this would not work. what do i need to do to get it to work? also, can i run two in a series. also, is it possible for me to run this new bright led with the stock red one still there, i tried a series and there was not enought power.. thanks for any help you can offer...

you need to find a ground when armed wire from your alarm. hook up a relay and you can have 1000 leds around your car plus the red led that comes with your alarm. if you need help im me on aim. i have the dei electrolum flashing signs on my teg. i had to use a relay off the ground when armed wire.
